Import date
For merchandise arriving in the U.S. by vessel, it's the date on which the importing vessel transporting the merchandise from the foreign country arrived within the limits of the U.S. port with the intent to unlade.
For merchandise arriving in the U.S. other than by vessel, it’s the date in which the merchandise arrived within the U.S. port limits.
Entry date
It's the date on which the goods are released, except for immediate delivery, quota goods, or where the filer requests another date prior to release.
Bond type
If you import products to the U.S., you need a Customs Bond.
Customs Bonds protect you from the unexpected costs that result from a wide range of Customs issues. A Customs Bond (also sometimes called a US Surety Bond) assures the US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) that the importer will fulfill any financial responsibilities for Customs duties, penalties, and other obligations.
The right Customs Bond provides a buffer between CBP and the importer, reducing hassles and delays, and is required by CBP for nearly all imports.
